The Mid-Week Mumble: A Fresh Start

Posted at Wed 30 Dec, at 08:00:00 in General By Tom A

2009 is all but consigned to history and 2010 is looming on the horizon. For some, the year ahead is full of promise, for others, it’s a chance for a fresh start, and new year’s resolutions are on the cards.

We too have been thinking about new year’s resolutions…

For myself, I’m mostly sticking with the conventional ones – do more exercise, eat better food, be more organised. I’d also like to set a world record next year, although I’m some way off even having any idea as to what I’ll try and do! I thought I could be the first man on the moon, but that’d already been done, apparently. Then, I considered becoming the first person to pogo around the Earth, until I realised I can’t even pogo for 10 seconds! Definitely a work-in-progress…

James’ resolutions include not hogging the office RC helicopters so much and also, buying staff more coffee. Daniel wants to read one book a month, starting with the title “How to Survive a Robot Uprising: Tips on Defending Yourself Against the Coming Rebellion”. Letitia will spend 2010 in pursuit of idleness, trying to do as little as possible whenever she can! Dave intends on being “more awesome” and Robert would “like to be exactly the same”!

I’m sure you’ll have at least one thing you plan on doing differently/more/less come the new year, and I wish you all the best with that.

2009 has had it’s ups and downs, that’s for sure. But with only hours to go until it’s over none of it really matters any more. It’s time to look forward to 2010 – hover cars, smell-o-vision, teleportation, the resurrection of Michael Jackson and who knows what else?!

Off The Back will still be there, doing what we do best. We’ve got a shed-load of exciting ideas for the year ahead and we look forward to setting the benchmark in online, retail with the support you great guys and gals!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

If James succeeds in his New Year's resolve to buy us more coffee, I will probably never leave. Mmmmm, caffeine...
Can we look forward to coffee-splashed website pages?
Now where did I read about transmitting smells over the internet?
Just wondering if you are going to have some A4 pouches soon.
Yeah I need to do more exercise and get my beer belly under control too...
