For months and months and months we have been scheming up something big. We’ve been slaving away at nights, weekends, holidays and even while in shower – getting ready for this day. The launch of our new Department store ready.

Why?

You wanted more, so you’ve got more – simple as that really. You see – we were constantly getting enquires from you all looking for more products and more deals. So this is what we’ve come up with. We are launching the department store with three of your favorite product categories – Toys, Photography and Optics. But don’t worry – there is much more to come!

So let’s celebrate!

We thought the best way to celebrate the opening of the new department store was to reward you our loyal customers! So we’ve got a fantastic treasure hunt for you to steel a whole bunch of products off us for FREE! From 9am we’ll be giving away over $3000 (RRP value) worth of product throughout the day. All you need to do is hunt through the new department store and find the products with the OTB robber, quickly add one to you basket and checkout while you can – and you can pick them up for FREE. So score yourself a bargain before they are all gone.

*Winners just have to pay standard shipping rates.

Very disappointed! Spent far to much time trying to get it working and it is to slow and has kept crashing. I certainly am not smiling!
Missed out on the free stuff and will just go back to daily deals!!

@fairness - seems like you're one of the only lucky ones! I also missed out on the free stuff I put in my cart because the system kept falling over :-( Hope they can manage to sort it out so that I can be happy again!

It's the same for me. Was so happy when I got the email this morning and have had no luck since. Site doesn't load or just takes way to long and has also crashed many times. Oh well, the free stuff was a great idea. Wonder how many people got lucky with that. Looking forward to shopping in the future.

Great idea guys, it's just a shame that the pages just kept crashing.
I would have loved to get one of those printers if I was able to get to the page properly.

Only complaint is that the pages take a while to load, but as all this is new, you are excused.

People who are saying "this isn't working" are idiots, quite frankly. Its a new feature, and they are giving out free stuff.

Of course there will be THOUSANDS of people trying to access it at the same time, so of course it will crash.

Just had a good look through the shop. There's a LOT of Meccano in there that I'd like to buy and spoil my kids with. Will have to wait until I'm more financial though.

Congrats on the new site, didn't have any trouble with page loading, looks great. Shame I missed on the free stuff too, but as always I'm not the lucky type. Looking forward to all the deals you'll have in the future.

Hi everyone, I just wanted to say we're really sorry about the slow site this morning/early afternoon. Everyone wanted a piece of the online store but our poor server wasn't in the mood. Great idea - however the site kept crashing all morning and once I was able to get on it seems that all the free stuff was gone. But will still keep checking out the daily email specials.

This was just like the sales they have at the big stores in London. Queue for hours and by the time you get in all the good stuff (in your case the freebies) is gone. Well done guys you can't expect a launch to go without some problems and tomorrow is another day. I know I will be back. :O :O :O

Still one freebie out there. I didn't get the email till I got home from work so was too late for the good stuff, but never mind. Maybe you could run an evening or night promo next time for those of us who work and don't get to go on the net during the day.
